This Shrug Kit made from our Olde English Babydoll Sheep was a big hit recently at Connecticut Sheep and Wool Festival. Ray made the button. When worn you feel wrapped in love
I have just spun some yarn from a kit I got last year. I had taken a drop spindle class but did not practice much until last month. Now I want a wheel!!
I do want someone to teach me but can't seem to find anyone close by. Know where I can find a teacher?
The folks at Yarn Barn in Woodbridge have classes but this one in June may be a bust because no one signed up.
About Us: Simple Gifts Farm grows fine fiber from our Olde English babydoll Sheep and our alpacas. Ray, Marti's husband, tends and shears the sheep and alpacas. In truth our sheep, alpacas and other animals are resident family members! Once our roving returns from the fiber processing mill, Marti spins the roving into yarn. As a passionate fiber artist, Marti designs patterns for hand spun natural and hand dyed yarns. In addition to making her fine yarns and roving available for purchase, Marti makes up kits with her patterns and yarn. Marti has great enthusiam for spinning, knitting and design. Marti loves to share her fiber dreams and loves to talk about her "furry" friends. Enjoy Ray's adventures as a gentleman farmer. Once the frost disappears, Ray's shovel is in the dirt.
